Dear Mama,
No matter how much you hear these two words, I know it will never be enough: thank you. Mama, you are the light of our home, our voice of reason, our rock, our superwoman.
How do you do it all, mama? The sleepless nights, the early mornings, the trips to the grocery store, the school pickups, making sure the household is running smoothly, being the most supportive wife, being the most loving mama, and everything else in between. You deserve all the thank yous, yet it will never be enough.
Mama, you have the ability to transform yourself into whatever our family needs. You’re such a superwoman, doing multiple things every single day. You’re a shoulder to cry on, a nurse, a chef, a tutor, a protector. You’ve sacrificed so much for us and have put our needs above yours. Mama, thank you. How will we ever get to show you how much we love you?
Being a mama looks easy on you, but I know it affects you, too. You questioned your self-worth so many times, you questioned your beauty, and you even questioned your capabilities. Mama, please don’t.
Mama, allow me to tell you how worthy you are. You are worthy of love, you are worthy of kindness, you are worthy of all things pure. I know we don’t tell you as much as we should, but you are worthy, mama. And we hope we get to show you that every single day.
Mama, you are beautiful. I know you think about how you looked before becoming a mom and before being a wife, but to us, you’re the most beautiful woman in the world. And yes, we mean inside and out. How blessed are we to have such a beautiful human being as our mama? We love you, and we couldn’t be more proud of you.
Mama, you are capable. Being a mom is not an easy job, and yet you do it so well on a daily basis. We have delicious food in our stomachs, a roof over our head, and everything we could need and more. You’ve taught us to be kind, compassionate, gentle, and loving. You’ve taught us how to be respectful, responsible, and how to interact with other people properly. Because of you, we are who we are today, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Mama, you are worthy of so much more than just our love, and yet you expect nothing in return from us. Thank you could never be enough, but please know how grateful we are for you. We love you, mama. Happy Valentine’s Day!
