Working as an event planner and a mother of two, with no household help for almost three years now, you can say that this mama has mastered the art of multi-tasking. Like any other mama out there, this mama is amazed to have discovered that it is possible to juggle a lot of things all together at the same time. That’s a supermom power you discover when you become one, don’t you agree?
One of the things possibly many mamas dread doing is tidying up the house. It can get really frustrating when you have two kids around, and the pile of toys and mess around seems limitless. To help you out, here are a few cleaning hacks this mama personally subscribes to. Want to check them out?

1. Keep storage containers/original product boxes

One of the best decisions you can ever make in terms of organizing the house is to buy storage containers where you can dump all of your kids’ toys when you see them lying around the house. This hack is heaven-sent if you’re the type of mama who hates seeing toys not well kept.

It would also be best to have one container per type of toy. For example, have one box specifically for Barbie dolls, another box for Disney dolls, and another box for kitchen toys.
Following the same thought, having the boxes the toys originally come in makes fixing kids’ toy mess easier. All you have to do is pick up the toys and dump them in their respective boxes!

2. Make a regular schedule for your laundry

Another pet peeve of many mamas is seeing a huge pile of laundry. To make sure you do not get overwhelmed with unwashed laundry, follow a regular schedule. For example, wash the kids’ clothes every Thursday; wash the grown-ups’ clothes every Friday.
Having a regular schedule helps ensure you won’t eventually drown in a pile of laundry that you couldn’t keep up with.

3. Use spray-and-wipe cleaning tools

Busy mamas won’t always have a lot of time to clean. That’s why spray-and-wipe cleaning tools are very useful for us! These tools are easy to use and also saves us a lot of time.
Tip: Check out Nature to Nurture’s Multi-surface Cleaner. It is made of biodegradable ingredients, safe for babies and kids!

4. Let go of clutter

Does it still spark joy? If not, then as Marie Kondo advises, let it go.
For example, if you keep figurine displays, it will take so much of your effort to wipe them every time you clean. If you just let go of the unnecessary displays around your room, you will no longer have to worry about them accumulating dust.
Develop the habit of checking on your kids’ stuff every month, so you can donate their unused or outgrown toys instead of keeping them around with no use. Whatever stuff you no longer use, let them go and you’ll be relieved at the amount of effort in cleaning you just set yourself free from.
So there you have it, mamas! This mama hopes her simple tips help you keep your homes tidy and clean, for the best interest of your kids!
