We’re about to enter the summer season, Mamas! With that in mind, there will be some family outdoor outings like going to the beach! We all know that traveling is a fun thing to do, however, the experience would not be complete if you did not prepare well all the things you may need for your vacation. Mamas and Papas should give value on the packing process, or the preparation stage so that no important items will be missed out. In this read, our team will be listing down the things you will be needing for that complete summer getaway at the beach!
Mama’s Beach Trip Checklist
Packing stuff may be a difficult process, but Mamas, it surely is worth it! You should first start by thinking that you will be packing not only for yourself, but also for your little ones. From there, you will now have a quick idea on what should be part of your checklist. To kick things off, we have here a brief beach trip checklist! Don’t worry as you can still add more items or even remove some if you feel like you would not need it. Check out the items per category for easier referencing:
Clothes
When it comes to wearing clothes, it is best to choose comfortable and light clothes since going to the beach will involve hot weather, and also some activities in the sand or water. During beach trips, everyone is encouraged to wear light clothes and those that are made with breathable fabric to move more comfortably. Examples of this would be shorts, jogger pants, skirts, tracksuits, and other sports clothes (dri-fit). Meanwhile, for those who will be swimming are recommended to use appropriate wear such as swimsuits, rash guards, or swim trunks.
In edamama, you can purchase a lot of swimwears on our website or mobile application. Some of these are from our newly launched Swimwear Collection from bean, in collaboration with a Filipina multidisciplinary visual artist and environmental advocate, Anina Rubio! Mamas and their little ones will surely enjoy wearing such cool swimwear – thanks to its design and fabric that helps in providing sun protection!
Essentials
One of the most important items that you should never forget are your essentials! This includes your prescription glasses or contact lenses, if you need one. Also, all your cosmetic products. Other than that, these essentials are more on hygienic and first aid products such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Lotion
- Toothbrush
- Hairbrush
- Deodorant
- Perfume
- Feminine Products (pads, panty liners)
- Bath Towels
- Alcohol
- Vitamins
- First Aid Kit (Bandages, Ointment, Gauze, Personal Medication)

Of course, you need to include all the beach items in your checklist! This includes the most used items whenever one goes for a summer vacation like sunscreen or sunblock. Aside from this, here are things that we believe you would need during the trip:
- Beach mats
- Picnic blankets
- Sun hat

- Slippers
- Swimming goggles
- Diving gear
- Mosquito repellent

Electronic Devices
Your electronic devices should also be prepared, Mamas and Papas! This is to have a more fulfilling experience and to capture memories as a family. Make sure to have your cellphones ready by keeping them charged, as well as your digital cameras and action cameras. Keep your power banks ready too in case you run out of battery while you are on the beach. An optional device that you could pack is speakers so that you can play music and jam into it.
Tips for a Successful Beach Outing
Before you get the chance to lay your feet on the sand, you will surely encounter different scenarios first. From packing your stuff, to traveling, to unloading everything, Mamas and Papas should be well-energized to face all of these with their beans! We’re here to provide you with some tips to make your beach trip a success!
Stay hydrated. Going to the beach means there is intense heat on a very sunny day! Mamas and their entire family should ensure to stay hydrated. This is to avoid chances of passing out or feeling very dizzy from the heat. Don’t forget to bring your own water bottle!
Wear sunscreen protection. The sun can really be harmful to the skin. Mamas and Papas are encouraged to always put sunscreen on themselves and on their beans while at the beach to avoid extreme sunburns.
Keep an eye on your little ones. The beach can be a very wide place and sometimes be filled with lots of people. Make sure that you keep an eye on your beans or best is to accompany them when they decide to play with the sand or go for a quick dip. This is to prevent losing them in the crowd, or also prevent from unwanted accidents.
Beach Ready?
With all of the mentioned points above and the checklist of the things to bring, do you think you are ready to head towards your family beach trip? Nonetheless, we wish you Mamas and Papas to have a fun time at the beach! Just a reminder to always stay safe while creating long-lasting memories with your little one. Have a happy trip!
